Brief description of the case：​The test location is about 4,800 meters above sea level. During the test period, the daily minimum temperature was below zero for a long time, and can reached -18°C. Except for occasional power outages, the toilets operate normally. In summer, the daily power consumption is 2 kilowatt hours, or 0.5 kilowatt hours per toilet seat per day.This case is the first time that water-free flushable toilet technology has been publicly tested in cold and high-altitude areas. It not only withstood the cold test, but also confirmed that the pumps, valves, nozzles and other parts in the toilet can work normally under high altitude and low air pressure and can achieve the expected jet effect. Power consumption can also be controlled within the normal range.In this process, we have successfully localized technical installation, commissioning, and service personnel, achieved long-term and institutionalized test data, and found out a solution for the future large-scale promotion of water-free flushable toilet infrastructure in the alpine and high-altitude areas of Tibet.
